For centuries the white dove has been a symbol of peace, faith, fidelity and most importantly, love. Add a touch of elegance and delight your bridal party and guests by releasing white doves on one of the most memorable occasions in your life.

The release of white doves at your wedding symbolizes the commitment between a husband and wife to support and love each other for a lifetime. Many couples include doves as a way to express their love and devotion to each other. The Bride and Groom may each hold a white dove. After giving each other a kiss they release them together to symbolize the beginning of their new life together. Or alternatively you may wish to release the birds from a decorated cage.

Our birds are not restricted to releases only. We have a range of other doves that are used for displays at the ceremony/reception. We will decorate to suit your colour theme. Our aim is to provide you with the best possible release and/or display at your wedding.

Couples also receive a nicely embossed card from Doves d’Amour. Once your date with us is confirmed we will then place you on our web site.

The Legend of the Doves

Once the Lord of Heaven chose two doves,

Funerals

Releasing of white doves at funerals is a beautiful way to symbolize the spirit of the deceased departing this life for the next. We display the doves during the service, which proves to be of comfort to all in attendance. The release bird/s can be released by hand or from the cage. It is entirely up the family how they wish to release the bird/s. We also accommodate requests for specific colour themes. For those who are entitled we also have the Australian flag available to drape over the table.

A white dove release is not only a way to remember a loved one, but more so, to celebrate his or her life. Animals possess a healing power that is quite profound. As the family of the departed farewell the loved member of the family on their final journey, they can begin their healing through the release of a white dove.

Parties

We currently supply doves for release only at this time. For children's birthday parties we have a coloured bird which is presented separately to the birthday child. The child makes a wish and the bird is released. As soon this is done one of our attendants will then release the other birds.

We will decorate and colour theme to best of our ability to match your party theme.

Events

We supply doves for many types of events to give that special touch. We have done releases for the Heart Foundation, Union of Jewish Students, Latin Association and many others. A flock of white doves makes for a spectacular site at the start of a football game or some other such like event. Instead of the usual balloons why not give our doves a go.

When you book with us we will list your event on our web site thereby giving you an extra area of exposure for your event.
